不過台南市交通局表示，平面道路進入國道匝道前，都有設置汽車專用交通標誌，新營、永康交流道前的平面道路也都有清楚設置，這兩起誤騎上國道事件，應屬個案。
國道第四大隊新營分隊長陳禎宗說，如發現誤闖國道，機車應立即停在路肩，人員則躲到外側護欄外再報警求助。
