台鐵表示，101次旅客改由3127次接駁，並請台南站送飲料600份，向旅客致歉；由於被撞轎車彈至西正線，因此派怪手到現場，9點50分起進行南靖=後壁間東西線封鎖斷電搶修，目前搶修完畢，雙線恢復通車。
