〔記者楊金城／台南報導〕中秋應景的文旦外，菱角也是主角之一，離中秋還有1個月，「菱角之鄉」官田區的菱角目前已有少量採收上市，盤商收購價1台斤50元起跳，跟去年產地價一樣。
官田區是全台最大的菱角產地，種植面積約380公頃，大多數菱農是在一期作稻米收割完後的5月間才開始種植，少數菱農沒有種稻，讓農田休耕後，提早種植菱角，也是希望能夠提早採收，搶到好價錢。
離中秋的腳步近了，現已有菱農頂著太陽、穿著青蛙裝在菱角田裡或彎腰或跪著翻找長在水中的菱角，採收菱角辛苦又忙碌，而目前是一期花的菱角，要等到9月下旬以後才進入產季。
官田菱角少量上市，象徵中秋腳步近了，官田區公所將在10月7日舉辦官田菱角季行銷最好吃的官田菱角。
