台南市政府8日表示，0823豪雨在台南市區造成的2000多處道路毀損，都已經修補完成，目前包括南區及東區兩處新增塌陷，也正在搶修中，會以最快時間恢復通車，永康區中華路建商私設箱涵阻塞，市府也會儘快搶通。

台南市政府指出永康中華路在9月6日上午發生積水後，方秘書長及水利、民政局也在總質詢後，立即趕到現場，指揮調度積水抽排及車輛拖吊，並在傍晚將積水全部抽除，完成社區消毒，李孟諺市長並且指示，這段時間還是可能有鋒面來襲，要求移動式抽水機暫不撤除，也因此，7日晚上強降雨又造成社區積水，也在第一時間予以抽排。
市府強調由於該區是建商私設箱涵阻塞，在抽水排除後，水利局已經派員深入箱涵探勘，會在最短時間，搶通箱涵，避免再逢雨淹水。
