許男去年11月間先持西瓜刀搶劫新埤鄉1家超商得手1萬9千5百元，接著又持具殺傷力的改造手槍搶劫新園、鹽埔鄉2家超商及1家遊藝場，得手數千元，許男接連犯案，造成人心惶惶，屏東警方為此成立專案小組全力緝捕。
警方於去年12月間掌握許男藏身處所，荷槍實彈前往圍捕，許男竟朝警察開槍拒捕，所幸未造成人員傷亡，許男被警方制伏送辦，法官認為許男犯行嚴重危害治安，惡性重大，依強盜及槍砲等罪併處10年徒刑，併科罰金8萬3千元。
