〔記者李立法／屏東報導〕受雇於湛姓業者從事鐵皮屋搭建及維修工作的林姓男子，工作時從高處摔落，導致終身癱瘓，湛姓雇主未替員工做好安全維護，法官判他應賠償林姓員工922萬多元，可上訴。
39歲的林姓男子2年多前在屏東市為廠房更換採光罩時，不慎從屋頂摔落，導致全身癱瘓，喪失工作能力，林男認為湛姓雇主未依「職業安全衛生法」替員工採取必要的安全防護設備，應賠償他醫療、看護等費用及工作能力的損失1272萬多元。
湛姓雇主認為林男上工前有喝酒，導致精神無法集中，才會從屋頂摔落，應為自己的傷勢負起責任。
法官詢問與林男一起工作的同事後，得知林男工作前確有飲酒，雖未精神不濟，但恐影響專注力，認為林男要為自己的傷勢負起2成的責任，依全案情狀，湛男應賠償林男922萬221元。
