屏東縣公有路邊及路外停車場將全面委託民間經營，合計共有1900個停車位，範圍包括屏東市與東港鎮，縣府正上網公開徵求廠商。
屏東縣的公有停車場收費原本屬警察局業務，民國99年起移撥至城鄉發展處，目前全縣共有16名收費員。
縣府表示，停車場委託民間經營採最有利標，若投標廠商願意全部留用現有的16名收費員，標案審查將可加分，若得標廠商決定不留用收費員，縣府會給予技職訓練並輔導轉業。
屏東縣公有停車場的費率分為計次與計時，小型車計次每日30元、計時每小時20元。縣府強調，委外收費後，停車費率不變，民眾權益不受影響。
