屏東檢調人員今年9月時追查麟洛鄉公所涉嫌以不實單據核銷，涉嫌詐取縣府補助款；在辦理麟洛鄉人行步道等工程時涉嫌收受賄賂圖利特定廠商，收押了現任鄉長蔡志和，由於李新煌擔任鄉長時蔡志和擔任鄉公所秘書，兩人關係密切，疑似有共同圖利特定廠商的情形，因此檢方偵辦該案時蔡志和被裁定羈押禁見，李新煌50萬元交保候傳，檢方再經過3個月的調查，發現李新煌疑似轉交賄款，要求到案說明，檢方在訊後認為涉嫌重大，向法官聲請羈押禁見，昨晚裁准。
