屏東縣連日來間歇性豪雨不斷，稻田倒伏情形嚴重，部分鄉鎮已達農業天然災害救助標準。截至24日止，屏東縣稻田被害面積約390公頃，其中約100公頃倒伏，另外還有玉米、胡瓜、香蕉等作物受損，總計全縣農作被害面積共423.8公頃，農損估計超過1200萬元。
根據縣府農業處24日統計，已達農業天然災害救助的鄉鎮包括潮州、九如、南州、新埤、林邊、佳冬等6鄉鎮，主要是一期水稻倒伏、食用玉米倒伏、胡瓜落果、農業棚架等設施破損，其中一期水稻倒伏的災損最嚴重。
農業處長黃國榮表示，5月豪雨造成部份作物倒伏、枯黃的情形，24日農業處協同農糧署、高雄農改場進行災損會勘，經統計後全縣達農業天然災害救助標準的面積共147.6公頃，金額共686萬元。他呼籲農民，若有災損應盡速向鄉鎮市公所通報，避免血本無歸。
