日前一名網友在臉書社團「爆料公社」貼出一張「包膜」賓士車照片，並且寫道「麻煩到墾丁給擺攤的大哥大姐們一個機會」，希望車主不要亂停車，卻遭到警方打臉，賓士停車位置沒錯，反倒是攤販亂擺攤是可以開罰的。5日晚間，恆春警方就針對夜市違規攤販加強取締，一夜共計開出81張罰單。
對於強勢開單是否和「賓士包膜」案有關，恆春警方沒有正面回應，強調攤販佔據車道來擺設攤位，已造成用路人安危，且恆西路段又有恆春基督教醫院救護車往來，未來將持續取締違規擺攤。
恆春分局分局長楊龍祥呼籲攤販，擺設攤位也應該顧及是否占用道路，重申請攤販不要心存僥倖，挑戰公權力，恆春警方將會在暑假期間不定期對恆春夜市規劃取締勤務，藉以展現警方取締攤販的決心，做到「還道於民」。
