〔記者蔡宗憲／屏東報導〕「山竹」颱風今天進入中國港澳地區，龐大的外圍環流仍持續影響南部海域，恆春半島各海域仍不時掀起4米巨浪，但趁著雨勢間歇，遊客紛紛到各海域觀浪，恆春氣象站則提醒，屏南海域風浪仍大，民眾盡量避免到海邊觀浪或戲水。
恆春半島歷經「山竹」外圍環流侵襲，一度造成部分地區停電停水狀況，直到凌晨才陸續恢復；雨量方面，截至中午僅累積不到40毫米雨量，逐漸脫離「山竹」威脅。
雖然雨量不多，但「山竹」外圍環流仍持續在外海掀起巨浪，墾丁各戲水沙灘持續關閉，地勢較低、險吞沒海巡車輛的香蕉灣漁港也拉起封鎖線警戒。
恆春氣象站指出，「山竹」颱風螺旋雲雨帶從東南向轉往今天的西南向，雖然不會引進西南氣流雨勢，但颱風本身的環流巨大，午後風雨已經趨緩，最快要明天才會恢復正常天氣型態。
