警消調查，這間大理石工廠於上午近十時突然傳出爆炸聲響，整個廠房出現出現強烈震動，隨即竄出火舌。消防隊員獲報後緊急派出15車22人前往搶救，火勢於10分鐘後撲滅。

現場總共有6人受傷，其中有2名越籍員工及1名台籍員工傷勢較重，全身有2~3度的燒傷，目前已從枋寮醫院轉往其他醫院插管治療。另外3人則是有肢體輕微外傷，至於起火原因，火調小組仍在調查當中。
