秋行軍蟲入侵，南台灣的屏東縣也淪陷，發現秋行軍蟲的地點是車城鄉田中村一塊大約一公頃的玉米田，當場挖洞銷毀。
屏東縣政府表示，今天接獲車城鄉一位民眾通報指出，田中村一塊大約一公頃的玉米田，發現疑似秋行軍蟲，縣府監控防治工作小組於是將民眾上傳的照片傳給高雄區農業改良場，初步判定是秋行軍蟲的幼蟲，包括縣府、車城地區農會以及高雄區農改場人員立即趕往現場，由高雄農改場專家再次鑑定，確認遭到秋行軍蟲入侵，於是依據防檢局緊急作業防治作業流程規定，採取現地掩埋銷毀，也就是挖了一個三公尺以上的坑洞，把鏟除的作物埋進坑洞裡，先覆蓋一公尺的土壤，再覆蓋烏肥並且灑水，進行銷毀。（照片：屏東縣政府提供）
