高鐵表示，發布海上颱風警報日到解除警報為止，旅客購票如遇列車正常運行而未搭乘，或列車運轉變更、車次取消，可自乘車日起一年內，持未經使用之車票至高鐵各車站辦理退票，免收手續費。
