〔記者黃佳琳／高雄報導〕日治時期曾擔任美濃第一任庄長的邱義生，其家族史是美濃客家的珍貴史料，中央補助兩千萬元經費整修邱義生家族夥房，藉由老空間活化再利用，再創永安老街聚落新生機。
高市客委會表示，邱義生及其家族故事，歷經清朝時期美濃的開拓、日治時期地方政治的演變，以及民國時期的產業發展與公益關懷，家族內保留關於美濃客家的珍貴史料、文物與歷史故事，具有美濃地方發展的歷史文化意義。
客委會向中央客家委員會爭取約兩千萬元的整修經費，以修舊如舊的方式，復原邱家早年生活面貌，未來修復後將以「夥房博物館」的形式呈現，部分空間打造為社區共學教室及藝文展演場域。邱家夥房預計明年六月完工。
