連續豪大雨炸高雄，許多地區都傳出淹水災情。有一名王姓女駕駛開車行經沿海三路28號對面南下快車道時，原以為只是路面積水，未料卻是一個坑洞，導致右前車輪破胎無法行駛。幸好員警及時到場，協助脫困，也避免後方車輛追撞。
員警趕抵交通事故現場時，發現是連日小港地區豪大雨，造成路面坑洞積水現象，王女開車經過以為是路面積水，未料是一個坑洞，造成車輪破胎，趕緊先將警車到場移置後方實施警戒，持續開啟警示燈，並疏導指揮交通順暢，同時協助將該自小客車推至路旁，避免同向來車因夜間視線不清，發生追撞危險。
警員協助幫忙王女換車上備胎，也通知道路養護單位到場將坑洞填補，當事人也不斷表達感謝讚許。
