歸仁警分局交通組長張世儒表示，目前在龍崎段，除了白天測速取締，以及改裝車輛的稽查之外，晚上還不定時實施縮減式道路攔檢，透過「行政干預」，讓駕駛無法一路猛催油門，降低危險性。
張世儒說，從四月份起，就開始執行防制危駕專案，與去年同期相比，交通事故減少了八件之多，顯見取締工作有嚇阻作用；由於勤務都安排在白天，競速的駕駛、騎士改為晚上出現，曾連續三天都發生事故，因此增加了夜間攔檢，遏止飆風。
張世儒強調，每週五、六的晚上一定實施夜間攔檢，其他時段則採機動作為，佈崗的位置也會變換，想飆速的駕駛或騎士無法心存僥倖；由於這半個月來的成效不錯，將持續執行，甚至擴大勤務，確保用路人安全。
