今年高雄地區因久未降雨致水情不佳，高屏溪流量持續下降，經濟部水利署公布高雄市於四月十六日由水情正常藍燈轉為水情稍緊綠燈。
市府水利局表示，目前水情雖未達高雄市災害應變中心旱災應變開設時機，但已著手整備抗旱機制，盤點轄內抗旱水井資料，如後續水情更嚴峻時，以啟動抗旱水井因應。
水利局目前已先提供鳳山、大樹、旗美及楠梓污水廠每日七二九二四噸回收水，供營建工地申請做為防揚塵，或一般民眾申請做為洗地、洗街等非接觸用途。
水利局籲請市民共體時艱，配合節約用水，隨時關緊水龍頭，並回收重複使用，共同投入抗旱行動，使有限的水資源達到最有效的運用。
