花蓮近海6日深夜11時50分42.秒發生芮氏規模6.0強震，目前已知花蓮統帥飯店倒塌、商校街2號旅店傾斜、蘇花公路全線封路。兩年前的同一天，高雄美濃6.4地震，台南維冠金龍大樓倒塌，造成115人死亡，當時在PTT成立的臨時看板《EarthQuake26》，稍早又再度重啟。
《EarthQuake26》板在7日凌晨35分PO文指出，因應本次大地震，本板重啟，不少鄉民紛紛留言「天佑花蓮」、「天佑台灣」，祈禱大家平安渡過劫難。
該板是在2016年發生高雄美濃所開設，目的是要提供最新消息、災情回報，甚至成立反應小組統整救災與物資需求等資訊，並揪團到災區當志工。同年2月14日，隨著搜救行動結束，《EarthQuake26》板任務也隨之告終。
如今因應6日地牛又翻身，該板又再度重啟，同時也在短時間內，徵求到兩位板主協助救災資訊整合，提供相關救援。
