前總統馬英九5日到嘉義縣為國民黨嘉義縣長候選人吳育仁輔選，從水上、中埔、竹崎到布袋、民雄，無論街頭拜票、災區慰問災民，大啖蚵仔包、買魚丸伴手禮都大受歡迎，連美髮店正在洗頭的顧客，也開心與馬英九合影。隨後，馬英九在IG上一句「還有哪邊需要加強嗎」，還搭配上搞笑的表情符號，下面網友全笑翻。
吳育仁表示，馬英九所到之處民眾爭相合照，宛如「小馬哥旋風再現」，大大提高年底選舉士氣。當馬英九在布袋觀光漁市得知市況差，八二三水災之後再減3成，特別吃起蚵仔煎、蚵仔包，並買了幾家的魚加工產品，期能幫忙「拼經濟顧生活」。
馬英九7日晚間則在Instagram貼出他與正在洗頭的顧客合影，更開玩笑稱「還有哪邊需要加強嗎？」、「頭洗一半也要拍」，不少網友也不禁羨慕留言「也想跟馬總統拍照」、「我這邊要加強」、「希望有機會，你也可以來高雄岡山」、「歡迎總統來嘉義」。
