〔記者蔡宗勳／嘉義報導〕823水災時因淹水一度封閉的嘉義縣民雄鄉文化路地下道，今天早上9點多發生頂部水泥塊剝落事件，用路人擔心禍從天降，行經時心驚膽跳，民雄鄉公所接近10點時獲報，立即派人前往處理，於10點25分清除完畢，暫時解除危機。
民雄鄉公所主任秘書李國祥指出，掉落水泥直徑約50公分，近日會請專家前來診斷，目前沒有封閉地下道的規劃，不過公所會隨時查看，一有狀況立即處置。
但有些用路人擔心火車經過的震動會導致水泥塊牆繼剝落，情願繞道而行。
