〔記者陳璟民／嘉義報導〕這波致災性豪雨，造成嘉義縣民雄鄕穿越縱貫鐵路的民雄地下道淹水封閉，有民眾於凌晨1點47分報案，指民雄車行地下道內，疑似有一人車受困，情況不妙，但救援人員潛水5趟次，尋無所獲，暫留1員在地下道的文化路出口觀察、警戒。到了上午9點，警方表示已連繫到車主，車主自行游泳脫困。
清晨大雨也讓附近住戶受困，民雄消防分隊的消防、義消人員，涉水前往救援，目前已抱、揹2名幼童脫困並導引多名成人行走安全路徑而出，然後都坐上後勤車送到鄕公所安置。（11：40更新）
