〔記者蔡宗勳／嘉縣報導〕交通部長林佳龍昨到嘉義縣了解地方交通建設需求，針對縣府提出西部濱海快速公路（台六十一線）增設布袋新塭交流道，與若干縣、鄉道改善案，林佳龍允於滾動式檢討時優先考量嘉縣，縮短城鄉差距。
嘉義縣長翁章梁表示，台六十一線新塭段長達九公里沒有交流道，新塭是全國虱目魚加工重鎮，占地十公頃水產加值園區籌建中，未來車流更大，增設交流道對地方觀光和產業發展有正面幫助。
林佳龍說，台六十一線年底將全線通車，已要求公路總局重新檢視西濱快的定位與發展需求，務必成為台灣CP值（性能價格比）最高的公路，縣府已進行交流道規劃評估，交通部將視資源及輕重緩急給予支持。
翁章梁表示，縣內路面不平道路亟需改善者一千五百七十五件，經費五十三億餘元；林佳龍回應，非六都財政狀況普遍不佳，將請公路總局多分配一點路平經費給嘉縣。
