從中鋼退休、回到嘉義務農的賴澤祿，日前發現一塊重約10台斤石頭，被3根孟宗竹竹筍穩穩頂高起來，拍照傳給友人分享大自然的神奇。有人打趣說：「男人想當硬漢，吃竹筍比威而鋼還好用！」
各種竹子就以孟宗竹的質地最堅硬，阿里山鄉筍農許銘委說，竹筍破土而出的力道很強，曾有水泥舖面產業道路位於竹叢旁，竹筍硬是「破路竄出」。
