〔記者丁偉杰／嘉義報導〕「承翰，你的任務結束了，一路好走！」台鐵自強號發生鄭姓乘客持水果刀刺警案，造成25歲鐵路員警李承翰不幸身亡，李員遺體今天上午10時許在家人陪伴，從嘉義基督教醫院移至嘉義市立殯儀館時，鐵路警察員警在醫院門口列隊向李員致禮致敬，場面哀戚，嘉義分駐所長丁勝豐不禁悲從中來，哭著說「承翰好像就像是我的兒子，很心痛！」
李承翰服務於鐵路鐵察局高雄分局嘉義分駐所，高雄分局長陳順和說，事發時，承翰儘管腹部中刀，仍與鄭姓嫌犯扭打，冒險犯難奮不顧身，不幸離去，讓同仁非常不捨。
一位資深員警說，「承翰做事盡責，很可惜失去了好兄弟，他好像就是我的兒子，很心痛！」
