〔記者林宜樟／嘉義報導〕 嘉義縣水上鄉前天發生恐怖虐狗事件，一名男子在馬路上抓隻黑狗狂毆，甚至抓起來如風車般旋轉後過肩摔，猛力摔在地上，黑狗哀嚎，相當痛苦，嘉義市守護動物協會理事長吳育才獲報後， 昨天與警方找到虐狗男子，已請主管單位介入調查。
有民眾在臉書社團爆料公社張貼影片和文章，影片只見檳榔攤前有男子狂毆黑狗，相當嚇人，這兩天也不斷有熱心民眾前往檳榔攤了解；吳育才說，獲報後趕緊前往了解，發現男子跟檳榔攤無關，也請熱心民眾不要誤會。
吳育才昨找到虐狗男子，男子辯稱只是和狗玩，在教狗，直到志工們拿出影片，才啞口無言，男子父親也出面道歉，並決定將狗交給志工處理。
吳育才說，黑狗送醫後經檢查有腦震盪情形，目前正在治療，之後將協助尋找適當飼主，避免再遭虐待。
