〔記者王善嬿／嘉義報導〕國民黨台南市議員許至樁今議會質詢時，將阿里山林業鐵路火車口誤為「日月潭火車」，還稱火車乘坐人數沒有限制，再這樣下去「絕對會出軌」；對此，阿里山林業鐵路及文化資產管理處副處長周恆凱表示，火車的每節車廂依照各車種載運總重、乘客舒適度都有人數管控，如嘉義往返奮起湖的「阿里山號」，依規定最高載運乘客數61人，但都會管控載運45人，都「安全第一」，無疑打臉謝的質詢。
周恆凱表示，目前各車種的每節車廂最高載運人數，阿里山號61人、檜木車廂76人、中興號61人及祝客車廂84人，但為考量乘客坐車的舒適度，包含坐位及站位的總載運人數，會分別管控在阿里山號45人、檜木車廂50人、中興號60人及祝客車廂70人的載運數，驗票人員也都會把關，不會有議員擔心的安全問題。
