鄭文燦表示，桃園市協助提供台北世大運諸多比賽場館，過去也曾舉辦世界聽障籃球錦標賽、亞太聽障運動會等國際賽事，場地、經驗都很完備，他也會要求總部設在桃園的中華航空、長榮航空提供票價優惠等，用最大資源爭取世界中學生運動會。
