用電爆表，全台各地發生無預警停電，連信義區百貨也受波及，包括新光三越信義新天地A8、微風松高、統一時代3間百貨全無預警停電，在百貨逛街的民眾餘悸猶存表示：在逛街的時候突然全黑，真的有點嚇壞。
台灣用電吃緊，連在信義區的百貨也受害，新光三越表示，下午4點52分無預警停電，超過40分鐘都未回復，目前信義新天地旗下4館僅A8受影響，在停電當下已立即疏散館內民眾，目前雖有備用電源提供基本照明，但因無法結帳暫停營業，以往也曾因為工程有停電通知，但無預警停電狀況是首次發生。
鄰近信義區的京華城也傳出停電，已啟用備用電源進行照明，民眾停電當下秩序良好，未有受困情況發生。
