警方表示，日前中午12時許，一名李姓韓籍女子慌張跑進漢中派出所，她以韓文告訴值班員警她兒子走失，但值班員警不懂韓文，正打算向外事科警方求助時，漢中所女警魏妤庭不慌不忙上前和李女交談。
魏員因平時喜歡看韓劇，對韓文有興趣進而進修韓文，經魏員與李女交談，得知李女隔天將要離境，她想說趁離境前一天帶10歲兒子來看花燈。她與兒子走到漢中街一家便利商店時，兒子口渴去買飲料，結帳後因人生地不熟走失，她在超商外等候多時卻不見兒子蹤影，嚇得找上警方求助。
魏員了解狀況後立即通報線上巡邏員警協尋，並親自前往漢口街附近地毯式搜尋，終於在中華成都路口的電話亭內發現李女兒子，順利助他們母子團聚。
