〔記者陳彥廷／屏東報導〕交通部公告立榮航空台北恆春航線於本月二十八日停飛，歹戲拖棚終於落幕，地方期盼航線的重新分配能讓恆春機場重現曙光。
恆春機場二○一四年九月後不再有定期航班起降，曾每個月搭機往返至少二次的恆春人阿誠說，全盛時期週末航班滿滿都 是人，後期常發生已訂票卻在到了松山機場後才收到立榮因「天候」、「航班調度」而取消的簡訊，令人措手不及。
恆春機場活化協會發起召集人許耿睿質疑，恆春機場唯一航線停飛，民航局及立榮航空難道不用向居民說明始末，立榮因拿到桃園深圳航線交叉補助才願意飛台北恆春線，現在停航理應全部交還。
屏東縣政府表示，立榮航空實質未飛航該航線已久，現在停航可視為新業者進駐的契機，交通部次長祁文中日前曾向縣府說明行政院已函復交通部同意再展延試辦兩年，縣府並已與三家綜合旅行社簽署恆春包機事宜備忘錄，中、長程為滿足國際定期航班起降需求，應增設助航設備，並提供專機夜間起降及跑道延長兩千五百公尺。
