〔記者鄭瑋奇／台北報導〕台灣高鐵旅客持續成長，為滿足平日商務旅運需求，台灣高鐵公司規劃從10月8日起，每週增開南下4班、北上4班列車；增班後每週有997班次提供旅運服務，加開班次從9月11日凌晨0點起陸續開放購票。
新增的8班次中，4班次為1241次，週一至週四每天下午4點40分由南港站南下，抵達左營站時間為晚間6點30分；另外4班次為1246次，週一至週四每天5點15分由左營站北上，抵達南港站時間為19時5分。高鐵公司表示，1241及1246車次原本僅週五、週日行駛，這次規劃於週一至週四增開，提供商務人士平日出差、洽公更多班次選擇。
新增班次方面，旅客於9月11日凌晨0時起，就可透過便利商店、網路訂票、「T Express」行動購票App及語音訂位系統，或於各車站營業時間至售票窗口及自動售票機購票。
