吳鴻麒、吳鴻麟這對孿生兄弟，是前清桃園中壢秀才吳榮棣之子，在八兄弟中排行老二、老三，一個學法、一個學醫。吳鴻麒於一九四七年二二八事件爆發後的三月十三日，在高等法院處理公文時，被兩名穿著便服的不明人士強行帶走，當月十六日被發現頭部槍傷陳屍於台北南港橋旁，遇害時年僅四十八歲；而吳鴻麟歷任桃園縣議員、議長、縣長，享耆壽九十六歲。這對孿生兄弟出生僅相隔十分鐘，人生境遇卻如天壤。
