台北市消防局勤務中心在2日上午獲報，位在北投區公館路上1間機車行起火，警消雖然在第一時間抵達現場灌救，不過由於火勢過大，機車行在半個小時內就完全燃燒，讓機車行老闆相當傻眼。
消防局指出，2日上午10點45分接獲民眾報案，表示在北投區東華街、公館路的鐵皮屋平房起火，勤務中心派出水箱車14輛、特種車5輛以及3輛救護車到場，抵達時火勢已經相當地大。
消防人員先疏散起火處兩旁的民眾，接著以水柱灌救，雖然火勢在30分鐘內就撲滅，不過機車行裡待修的車輛早已付之一炬，就連機車行飼養的小狗也喪生火窟，讓隨後趕到的機車行老闆相當難過。
消防局表示，起火現場並沒有使用住宅火災警報器，且在起火點後方還放有大量的輪胎導致火勢較難撲滅，初步估計燃燒面積約150平方公尺，將持續釐清起火原因。
