〔記者陳薏云／新北報導〕永和分屍命案昨晚逮到主嫌OZ，另上月25日逮捕非裔美籍男子Ewart Odane Bent及涉嫌協助購買兇刀的雙重國籍的男子吳宣，分別收押以及交保，先前有媒體報導Bent曾為美國海軍陸戰隊員，對此美國國防部軍方報紙「星條旗報（star and stripes）」5日報導查證， Bent 只是二等維修兵，並非戰鬥兵，在軍中擔任機械維修防鏽的工作。
據外媒「star and stripes」報導，Bent於海軍陸戰隊服役期間為2006年12月6日至2009年8月7日，主要在軍中擔任後勤機具維修、防鏽工作，並非戰鬥兵，最後一次任務在沖繩執行，編於海陸航空作戰部36隊，2008年獲頒二等兵軍徽。
加拿大籍男子Ryan日前遭殺害分屍案，警方逮捕美籍非裔男子Bent（見圖），經外媒查證Bent僅是維修兵。（資料照）
