新北市一名遊覽車駕駛，2日上午7時許行經新莊區中正路423號前時，因為不明原因自撞分隔島，路樹及路燈遭撞斷後，駕駛竟然沒有善後，就直接開離肇事現場；電線杆倒臥路面後，影響到2線道的車輛通行，當時正值上班尖峰時間一度造成車流回堵，所幸警方獲報後到場交管才順利排除。
新莊警方民眾接獲通報，指稱在新莊區中正路與福海街口發生交通事故，到場後發現一旁有路樹及路燈倒塌，經過查訪目擊民眾後，有人表示是遊覽車自撞分隔島後就逕行離去，經調閱監視器後已經鎖定該輛遊覽車車籍，並將連繫肇事車主到派出所釐清責任。
