新北市新店區一名23歲蔡姓男子今（22日）下午2時許駕駛一部舊型BMW，由坪林區北宜公路往宜蘭方向行駛，行經32.8K處俗稱「財茂灣」的大彎道時，疑似因車速過快，導致車輛失控朝對向車道滑行，撞到一名騎乘機車的22歲郭姓騎士。郭男受巨大撞擊後倒地，蔡男車輛則繼續滑行撞到對向護欄，還波及路旁停放的一輛紅牌重機。
警方對肇事的蔡姓男子實施酒測，測得酒精值為0，郭男則因重傷送醫，目前尚無法進行酒測，人還在萬芳醫院搶救中，情況並不樂觀，實際肇事原因仍待警方調查。
