《蘋果日報》報導，就讀某私立大學4年級的21歲葉姓大學生，昨天深夜11點多，駕駛父親的休旅車返家途中，行經新店區及人中學前道路，因見前方有輛機車超車打滑，從內側車道滑到休旅車前方，他見狀趕緊猛踩煞車。
雖休旅車幸未撞上前方機車，但緊跟在後的多輛機車煞車不及，接連撞上休旅車，受傷的機車騎士、乘客共9人分送鄰近的新店耕莘、新店慈濟、安康耕莘醫院急救。葉姓大學生酒測值為零，警方對追撞的機車騎士等進行酒測，並丈量現場送鑑定以釐清眾人肇責。
