新北市高灘地工程管理處科長徐偉誌說，位於新店陽光運動園區（陽光路口公園至溪洲公園），賞櫻的主角是來自日本伊豆半島河津町的河津櫻，花型碩大且呈嬌嫩的淡粉色，花期約至三月中旬，為新店陽光運動公園增添繽紛，也讓新北市再添一處春遊賞櫻的好去處。
徐偉誌說，陽光公園除了淡粉色的河津櫻，位於兒童遊戲區旁自行車道兩側的櫻花，目前也含苞待放，有深紅艷麗的山櫻花及桃粉嬌貴的八重櫻，與河津櫻擁有不同美感，民眾不妨趁著百櫻盛放，來陽光公園騎單車，欣賞早春百花爭豔的迷人美景。
