新北市一對簡姓表姊妹上月29日在烏來溪邊玩水，不慎遭溪水沖走，附近住戶聽聞呼喊馬上上前救人，但只拉起7歲的姐姐，新北市消防局經連日搜索，1日上午11時許現場傳來消息，搜救人員於下游14K處附近大石頭下發現一具冰冷遺體，經家屬確認後確定是罹難的妹妹，現場交由員警處理。

警消表示，簡小妹的爸爸當時打赤膊，手上抱著的就是被溪水沖走的簡小妹，在失蹤3天後警消手中接過遺體，以一塊彩色的地墊蓋住女兒，親手抱著她離開現場。
警消指出，事發時女童家裡只有阿嬤，當時2個小女孩（表姊妹）天氣熱跑去玩水，是趁不注意時跑出去，發生溺水當下，姐姐大叫救命 ，附近住戶聽到趕快衝去救人，順利救起7歲姊姊，而6歲妹妹被溪水沖走，經過3日搜索終於尋獲罹難的妹妹遺體。
