〔記者吳欣恬／台北報導〕有民眾向防檢局反映，在新北市八里及五股區的龍眼樹發現從未在台灣本島出現過、色彩鮮豔的「龍眼雞」蟲蟲，屬於農業有害生物，防檢局已啟動緊急防治機制，呼籲民眾發現「龍眼雞」請通知防檢局，千萬不要採集或任意遺棄蟲的活體，電洽（02）3343-2064。
防檢局表示，「龍眼雞」是蠟蟬科昆蟲、綠色，頭部前方有向上彎曲的細長吻狀突起，長吻上有許多白色小斑點，外觀絢麗，主要分布於中國華南各省、印度、寮國、緬甸、泰國、金門島和烈嶼島等地區，在台灣本島屬於外來種，主要棲息在龍眼、荔枝、芒果、柚子、柑橘、梨子等作物。
