長耳鴞為一種貓頭鷹，特徵是雙眼間有兩道白色羽毛，呈現「Ｘ」圖樣，以鳥類和鼠類為主食，通常棲息於中高緯度樹林。長耳鴞在過境期間，會短暫停留於近河口地區，休息後再往北飛，但過境台灣數量稀少，在新北市烏來、深坑、貢寮山區偶爾現蹤，在平地公園相當罕見。（資料提供：動保處）
