新北市瑞芳區深澳漁港綠燈處，16日下午4時許消防局接獲汽車落海，車上疑似有駕駛1人受困車內，警消獲報後立即派遣潛水人員及船艇前往搜救，獲報後在現場確認駕駛受困車內，立即後將該男姓駕駛打撈救上岸，但該名年約50歲的男子已經失去生命徵象，救護人員立即施以CPR急救，送往瑞芳醫院搶救當中。

搜救人員表示，接觸落海汽車時汽車車窗緊閉，車內僅有男性駕駛一人在內，身上還繫著安全帶受困其中，破窗後立即將患者拖上岸急救送醫。
救護人員在男子身上發現遺書，上面寫明「善心人士請連絡我親人，，我要把器官捐出去，我放棄急救。」並附上一張已經簽名的器官捐贈意願卡，全案轉交警方依輕生方向偵辦。
