新年憾事！一名33歲蕭姓男子大年初五（20日）與2名好友一起騎車出遊，3人下午4時許行經坪林北宜公路33.1公里處時，蕭男在過彎處不慎自摔，當場成昏迷狀態。警消獲報到場將他送醫，但蕭男仍因胸腔大量出血，搶救後宣告不治。
警方調查，當時蕭男騎乘黃牌重機，與2名好友出遊行經北宜路33.1公里處往坪林方向時，疑似在過彎處不慎自摔，當場昏迷。警消獲報到場將他送醫，抽血檢測並無酒精反應，但男子仍在稍晚因胸腔大量出血宣告不治。由於現場無監視器，也沒有人有行車紀錄器畫面，詳細肇事原因仍待調查。
