新北市消防局第六大隊接獲報案後，立刻派貢寮分隊前往救援，消防隊員到場時，只見舢舨上的弦外機還在發動，但卻不見漁民蹤跡，馬上下艇搜索，將徐男救起時已無呼吸、心跳。
