〔記者蔡政珉／苗栗報導〕台61線西濱快速道路苗栗縣苑裡鎮路段，今天下午3點多有輛行駛中的大型載貨槽車突然後輪起火，黑煙衝天，讓其他駕駛嚇壞。苗栗縣消防局獲報後派員到場處理、滅火。
苗栗縣消防局說，失火的是剛載運完整車麵粉的槽車，所幸當時是空車，不然滿車麵粉可能讓整輛車燒得精光。而駕駛當時發現右後方起火，趕緊將車停在匝道附近槽化島上，才沒影響交通。
至於起火原因，消防局不排除是過熱或機械故障等因素，仍需進一步鑑定。行經駕駛則是驚呼，濃煙四竄和不時冒出的火光，真的很恐怖，幸好沒停在車道上，否則後果不堪設想。
