〔記者蔡政珉／苗栗報導〕苗栗縣苑裡鎮苑港漁港的彩虹景觀橋，橋體設計美觀，加上點綴其上的美化燈泡和燈具，成為苑裡鎮夜間一道美麗的風景，為觀光漁港苑港漁港加分不少，堪稱是苑裡鎮地標之一。不過，最近常有民眾發現夜間景觀橋沒亮，懷疑是縣府財政不佳「關燈」，感嘆說「可惜」。
主管苑港漁港彩虹景觀橋的苗栗縣政府水利處城鄉發展科表示，最近苑港漁港彩虹景觀橋不亮，可能是燈泡或是燈具損壞造成，由於保固期已過，縣府將會派員勘察，了解具體故障原因，再研擬辦法修繕。
不過，水利處城鄉發展科坦言，燈具和燈泡故障確實是經常性問題，畢竟彩虹橋位於漁港邊，受到強勁的海風吹襲，難免容易故障，導致景觀橋亮點「不亮」。
苑港漁港彩虹景觀橋屹立漁港邊，黃昏時可以觀賞落日之美，夜幕低垂後，橋身設置的燈具、燈泡亮起，吸引不少鎮民前往休憩，是當地極具觀光潛力的景點。可惜景觀橋上的燈具常故障，常常要報修，之前就常有民眾反映故障狀況。
