〔記者蔡政珉／苗栗報導〕苗栗縣通霄鎮白沙屯拱天宮媽祖徒步南下雲林縣北港朝天宮進香，預計於明天回宮，媽祖婆鑾轎今天上午6點返回苗栗縣境內，大批信眾一早就到場接駕，就算今天雨勢連綿，更一度下起大雨，仍不減信眾恭迎媽祖婆熱情。
沿途除了可以見到大批信眾設香案、鑽轎腳，期盼媽祖婆賜福，鞭炮聲同樣不絕於耳，而當媽祖婆下午回到通霄鎮境內時，有信眾出動吊車高掛鞭炮，陣仗驚人、場面壯觀，義工組織白沙屯媽祖網路電視台拍下空拍畫面，讓不少人體驗到媽祖婆回鑾途中的震撼感。
其中有信眾將鞭炮設計成宮殿模樣，更是吸睛。
由於迎接媽祖婆人潮眾多，苗栗縣警局通霄分局也在沿線實施交通分流，疏導歷年來最多的人潮。
