〔記者鄭名翔／苗栗報導〕今早7點多，一台由彰化北上開往基隆的區間車，行經苗栗線後龍車站，正準備進站時，發生電車線設備故障，懸臂斷3根、列車集電弓2支受損、擋風玻璃也有破裂情況。
當時車內有準備上班、上課的通勤族約300多人，只能在車內等候另台電車接駁，台鐵也緊急調派一台區間車趕赴現場，約莫誤點一小時才排除情況。目前受損電車仍在維修中，但不影響其他車次通行。
