〔記者吳昇儒／基隆報導〕基隆市消防局晚間接獲民眾報案指出，七堵山區冒出火光，但不知道是甚麼情況。消防隊前往救援時，發現該山區並無道路，必須徒步行走到起火地點，目視現場狀況，應該是火燒山，立刻派員持滅火器材前往滅火，目前仍在搶救中。
基隆市消防局第二大隊長王君維獲報後前往現場指揮救災，派遣仁愛、安樂及七堵、暖暖等4個分隊馳援，但因為現場無道路可供消防車前往，只能先由消防隊員徒步持器材救援。初步調查，起火地點共有3處，但火勢不大，暫時未造成延燒。
